How to prepare for Super Days.
You nailed it in your question. The most important part of killing your superday (in a good way) is to prepare.
Other ways to shine:
🗣Figure out the companies’ interview process. Glassdoor.com is a basic place to see what questions are typically asked in interviews. The BETTER place? Chat that alumni group or swim team Slack and explicitly ask for the lowdown from those on a similar path. Have your answers to those questions down pat.
💅Nail your introduction. Almost every interview starts with the question “So tell me about yourself.” Translation: “Tell me why we should hire you.” Since you know this question will be asked, best to be prepared with your most strategic pitch.
🥯Make sure to eat/drink. This might seem obvious but superdays are long and you need the energy to keep your best foot forward.
✍ Jot down each interviewer's name. This is important for several reasons: #1 so you can reach out via email or on LinkedIn to thank them, and #2 so you can reference them to ensuing interviewers throughout the rest of your day. It’s not a great impression to impart if an interviewer ask “So who else have you met with today?” and you fumble such an easy question.
